21 grudnia 2023 mieliśmy przyjemność uczestniczyć w prelekcji Natalii, wzbogaonej pokazem jej filmów. Prelekcja z opowiścią na temat procesu tworzenia, z wyjaśnieniem pojęcia „fulldome“, czyli filmów przeznaczonych do wyświetlania na kopułach planetariów, łączyły się w całość. Sprawiło to, że uczestnictwo w prelekcji stało się wyjątkową przyjemnością duchową dla uczestników.
A dodatkowo wspomnieć można, że Natalia z pochodzenia jest Kostrzynianką.
Natalia Oliwiak- artystka wizualna, specjalizująca się w tworzeniu filmów fulldome. W 2018 r uzyskała tytuł doktora z zakresu sztuk pięknych ze specjalnością fulldome na UMK w Toruniu. W 2022 roku brała udział w rezydencji artystycznej w Norrköping we współpracy z LiU i Visual Center C, podczas której zrealizowała sferyczny performance z muzyką na żywo - pod tytułem “Omnejd”. Brała też udział w eksperymentalnym międzynarodowym projekcie Future Rurh który zdobył 2 statuetki Janusa na Festiwalu Fulldome w Jenie w 2022 roku.

Animacja to jej pasja, w każdym dziele zgłębia coś nowego, szukając artystycznego sposobu wyrażania siebie. Eksperymentuje z technikami 2D/3D, mieszając media tradycyjne z cyfrowymi, aby stworzyć własny język artystyczny, Czerpie inspiracje z różnych dziedzin sztuki wizualnej, projektowania, filmu, muzyki i tańca.
Natalia Oliwiak - born in Słubice, Poland, in 1986. Currently based in Łódź. She is a visual artist with specialization in fulldome cinema for spherical screen projection.
Natalia is a Doctor of Arts in Fine Arts, from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Faculty of Fine Arts, doctoral dissertation entitled: Four Elements – an animated film in fulldome technology about natural forces of water, air, earth, and fire. She graduated with a MA degree in Multimedia art, with specialization in drawing media from the same University. She also studied at the L’Ecole Supérieure St-Luc in Liège, Belgium, with drawing media and painting specialization, within the ERASMUS Student Exchange Program. Her thesis Animation in art therapy and art Diploma The circle of time was awarded with Janusz Bogucki's medal for the Best art diploma and thesis.

Her work New world has won the 2021 Macon Film Festival Fulldome Best Immersive Experience category award, the prize for Best Short Fulldome Film at the III Minsk International Fulldome Festival in Belarus and Best fulldome art cinematography at the 5th 'Reflections of the Universe' Fulldome Festival, Yaroslav, Russia. For fulldome movie Four Elements she received Best Environmental Dome Film prize at the DTLA Film Festival, Los Angeles, 2019 and Jurors Special Mention at the Macon Film Festival, Macon, USA, 2019. For The Game movie she received special mention at the Animator - International animation, 2018 in Poland and The Best animation Student prize at the 5th India Cine Film Festival, Mumbai, India 2017.
She participated in many different fulldome art projects. In 2022 she took part in the Artist Residence Project in Norrköping, Sweden. During the residency, in cooperation with musician Johan Lundberg, she created a 45 min immersive show - a meditative live performance under the dome with spherical visuals and spatial music. In 2021, she was involved in the experimental artistic project Future Ruhr (about the Ruhr area) in which the newest technology for spherical recording from drones were tested. She also has been involved in producing the artistic fulldome show My Place in the Universe which is a personal journey through facts and thoughts about our existence in the Universe.
Natalia in her fulldome works tries to explore the full potential of spherical space so that the audience can immerse themselves in visuals and sounds, have a journey through different worlds and forget about the surrounding reality. She experiments with 2D/3D techniques by mixing traditional media with digital ones to create her own artistic language by taking inspirations from different fields of visual arts, design, film, music, dance and nature.
Echoes of her personality - energy and passion combined with Slavic origins, multiple interests, love of traveling (especially in exploring Bieszczady and Tatra mountains), and enthusiasm for meeting people can be found in her works as well.
